The one month of 1991 "pinpoint" bombing killed many thousands of children under the age of 5, including these 6 newborns, when Basrah hospital located 40 miles (65 kilometers) north of the Kuwait border, was heavily damaged during a daylight raid. Among those killed was the head child surgeon while performing an operation.
